The event will be pushed from Sept. 8 to Nov. 3. A posting on the event website says the combination of competing events and the threat of warmer-than-expected temperatures make the original date unfeasible.

The 12th running of the Indianapolis Marathon and Half Marathon will hit the ground running Saturday, October 20th, 2007. The event will offer its participants a marathon, half-marathon, marathon relay, 5K and Kids Marathon along the scenic Lawton Loop on the historic Fort Harrison grounds in the Lawrence area. Registration is now available online at www.indianapolismarathon.com.
