Make a weekend of it and see the rest of beautiful San Juan Island. We're not going to lie. This is a difficult marathon. Us Race Directors use words like scenic to distract you from the degree of difficulty. But this course really is scenic and one of the only courses you can see the straight, Olympics, wildlife, farmland and if you're lucky, our famous Orca whales! See, you stopped thinking about hills already! We do request that you approach this event as a run and not a walk. We will have a 5 hour, 30 minute cutoff for this years race. Last year's average finish time was 4 hours, 24 minutes.
