After Connie Richie suffered a stroke a few years ago, she made a vow.In June, the 56-year-old will travel to Kona, Hawaii, to participate in the Kona Marathon on the Iron Man Marathon course as a member of the Chicago Team of the American Stroke Association.

Local Woman Seeks Support To Train For Kona Marathon

Barbara L. Tolber is part of the “Train to End Stroke Program” that is being held for the Kona Marathon in June. She has completed endless hours of community service and activism in the Columbus Branch of the NAACP, and she is ready to run the 26 mile race in order to show the community her strength.
