n the third year since its inception the Memorial Day Marathon Races held in Lenox, MA has already raised over $30,000 in 2012 and that number continues to climb. In its first year the race only raised $1,800 for the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund but in just two short years the number has grown exponentially.

With less than two weeks until race day the Memorial Day Marathon expects its biggest year yet. In year one the Memorial Day marathon races had 680 participants, last year that number jumped to 947. Race organizers believe that in year three race numbers could exceed 1200.
