The event will take place May 24-25, 2014 and includes the Memorial Day Marathon & Half-Marathon, known as the "Toughest Marathon in The East," the Tanglewood 10K/5K, Topricin Kids Run, MDR 15K Trail Race, and the MDR Trail-Road Challenge.

Van Mullikin, 26, from San Antonio Texas won the Memorial Day marathon by breaking the existing course record set by Chuck Engle in 2010 with a time of 2 hours 37 minutes and 22 seconds.

In partnership with presenting sponsor Berkshire Bank, The Memorial Day Marathon Races is planning to honor those affected by the Boston Marathon bombings. Among the highlights are a $10,000 match by Berkshire Bank from the sale of "Boston Strong" bracelets sold at this year's MDM Races, a 50% off discount by Race Organizers for entry into the Memorial Day Marathon for those that did not have the opportunity to finish due to the bombing and a moment of silence during the actual marathon at 4:09:43 the time the bombing occurred.

The Memorial Day Marathon Races are excited to announce the return of Berkshire Bank as the presenting sponsor of the annual race weekend held in Lenox, MA. Berkshire Bank, America's Most Exciting Bank, has been an integral part of the growth of the MDM Races which has doubled attendance in the last three years to over 1200 runners last year. Race organizers expect over 1500 runners to take place in 2013.
