Nik Southwell now knows what the "wall" is all about in the marathon. Running in what he called his "debut" marathon, Southwell was physically and mentally wiped out at about the 22-mile mark, the area of the Napa Valley Marathon where the course turns onto Oak Knoll Avenue off the Silverado Trail.
