Rick Ball ran a sub three-hour marathon to run a new world record in the single-leg marathon at the Ottawa Marathon. His time of 2 hours 57 minutes and 47 seconds was more than four minutes faster than his previous record.

Stephen Drew won the Canadian National Marathon Championship at the Ottawa Marathon this weekend with a time of 2 hours 21 minutes and 47 seconds which was good enough to finish as the first Canadian across the line.
