The inaugural Pasadena Marathon was canceled two hours prior to the start due to smoke from nearby forest fires. The rescheduled race was held in a pouring rainstorm. The 2010 race seems to be finding a good groove.

Pasadena Marathon race officials were ready to announce the date for their 2010 race when organizers of the Los Angeles Marathon chose the same date. Pasedena officials quickly moved to the February 21, 2010 date to avoid conflicts.

Jacques Sallberg finished in 2 hours, 25 minutes, 49 seconds to capture the delayed Pasadena Marathon which was hampered by smoke from fires last November. Blue Benadum sprinted to second place in 2 hours 44 minutes and 17 seconds.
