This scenic course will start and finish at the John Ringling Museum, through neighborhoods, along the bay front, through Southside Village, over the Ringling Bridge, to South Lido, Ken Thompson Park and return to the Museum.

Forty-two states and seven countries were represented in the Sarasota Marathon as nearly two-thousand runners took to the streets. Tom Trealout was the men's overall winner with a time of 2 hours 53 minutes and 21 seconds. Dot Martin of Vermont took home top womens honors.
