The first annual Smoky Mountain Marathon went off without a hitch according to co-race directors Carl Sexton and Zane Hagy. The Roadkill Running Club in Oak Ridge hosted the event with Robert Preston taking home top honors in 2 hours 49 minutes and 2 seconds.

The first Smoky Mountain Left Turn Marathon, put on by Oak Ridge's Roadkill Running Club, will be held March 15th and features a course made up entirely of left turns.

The Roadkill Running Club is preparing for the inaugural Smoky Mountain Left Turn Marathon. The event will be held in Oak Ridge, Tennessee on March 15, 2009 and lead runners through the cities of Oak Ridge and Clinton with only left turns.
