Central Oregon Resort Fights Breast Cancer with Fifth Annual Maratho

Sunriver Resort, a Destination Hotel, is thrilled to announce their fifth annual Sunriver Marathon for a Cause raised more than $25,000 for cancer care through the St. Charles Foundation. This year's event kicked off a new partnership with St. Charles Cancer Services, the only comprehensive cancer center in the Central Oregon region. Proceeds from the marathon weekend will support the leading research, technology and personalized guidance offered by St. Charles, and ultimately help to deliver the highest level of patient care to those who need treatment in Central Oregon. Additionally, the funds raised by the marathon will help support the various treatmentofferings at St. Charles, which include radiation oncology, medical oncology, integrative therapies, prevention programs, screenings and patient support services.

Fifth Sunriver Marathon for a Cause held

Rob Russell of Redmond was the fastest overall Marathon runner with a time of 2 hours, 42 minutes and 5 seconds. The fastest female marathon runner was Caitlyn Reilley of Corvallis with a time of 3 hours, 14 minutes and 39 seconds.
