Despite to massive hills in the second half of the Yakima River Canyon Marathon and a head wind the seem to hold some runners in place over 500 participants finished the 26.2 miles down River Canyon Road.

Chuck Engle took on last year's defending Yakima River Canyon Marathon champion and third place finisher to win the marathon with a time 2 hours 41 minutes and 22 seconds despite a second half head wind and two major climbs.
