More than six-hundred people from all over the world showed up for the twelfth annual running of the Yakima River Canyon Marathon. M.J. Engle won the race with a time of 2 hours 43 minutes and 39 seconds

Over six-hundred runners are registered for the Yakima River Canyon Marathon despite the cold rainy forecast. Defending champion Chuck Engle is not expected to return. Defending women's champion Camille Moseley is not on the pre-registered list either.
