Rance Myers completed twenty marathons in 2009 and his second of 2010 resulted in a victory. Myers won the first annual Yuma Territorial Marathon with a time of 2 hours 57 minutes and 30 seconds.

The Yuma Territorial Marathon has been recognized as a Boston Marathon Qualifier. The marathon is the first organized in Yuma and organizers hope it will create a wider marathon following in the area.
