The lottery registration deadline is fast approaching for the 7th Annual Zoom! Yah! Yah! Indoor Marathon in Northfield, MN. The oldest indoor marathon currently being run in the United States is scheduled for Sunday, January 8, 2012 and because the field is limited to 42 runners, the race organizers hold a lottery each year.

Giles and Rudesill Take Top Honors at the 6th Annual Zoom! Yah! Yah!

Ron Giles (41) of Rochester, MN and Sara Rudesill (28) of River Falls, WI took top honors in Sunday's Zoom! Yah! Yah! Indoor Marathon on the campus of St. Olaf College. Giles, who was second in 2010, lead from the start and there was never a question on whether he was going to win. The only question was, by how much. Giles clocked in at 2:48:42 while runner-up David Hartz (53) from Cold Spring, MN ran 3:11:07. Third place honors went to Albert Hung (31) of Los Altos Hills, CA with a time of 3:14:58.
