Kevin Collins of San Diego finishes strong in winning the Valley of the Sun Marathon in Mesa on Sunday. He won by more than eight minutes in a time of 2:17.31.

Kevin Collins not only won the Valley of the Sun Marathon with a lead of over eight minutes Sunday, but he also qualified for both the Boston Marathon and the time trials for the 2004 Olympics.
