Robert Lenzo didn't collapse at the finish line, but he came close. He plopped on a nearby bench, placed his elbows on his knees and dropped his head. What a journey.

   Blue Angel Marathon: Blanton's victory is all about the shoes (Pensacola News Journal)
Jesse Blanton arrived at the start of the Blue Angel Marathon on Saturday having forgotten his running shoes. He dashed and found a vendor willing to give him shoes with a promise of payment at the end of the race. Blanton went on to win in 2:34:20, and the vendor got his money.

Hajime Nishi, 53, holds the world record for running marathons on all seven continents in a 168-day period in 1997, and now will add another marathon to his long list of races at the Blue Angel.
