The course takes runners past the city’s five major parks and, as in previous years, will include a portion of the Lake Fayetteville Trail. The course will be run primarily on Springdale streets, but sections will run through Johnson and Fayetteville, and a small portion of the 26.2-mile course will take place on the Razorback Greenway.

Recent marathon results

Last weekend’s marathons featured remarkable performances across the globe.The 2025 Tokyo Marathon witnessed remarkable performances from elite athletes. In the men’s race, Ethiopia’s Tadese Takele secured his first major marathon victory with a world-leading time of 2:03:23, narrowly improving his personal best by one second. Takele had previously finished third in the 2023 Berlin Marathon. In the women’s division, Sutume Asefa Kebede of Ethiopia successfully defended her title, finishing in 2:16:31. Kebede became the first woman to win back-to-back titles at the Tokyo Marathon, having set a Japanese all-comers’ record of 2:15:55 in the previous year’s race. The Tel Aviv Marathon attracted over 45,000 participants from around the world. Kenya’s Felix Kimutai secured the men’s victory with a time of 2:12:12. Kimutai has a personal best of 2:09:23, achieved in 2019. The women’s race saw Kenya’s Teresiah Kwamboka Omosa finish first in 2:37:37. Omosa previously won the Palermo Half Marathon in 2024 with a time of 1:15:04.
