Recent marathon results

At the Chevron Houston Marathon, Haimro Alame of Israel, who competed in the marathon at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, secured victory in 2:08:16. Ethiopia’s Kumeshi Sichala, who won the 2019 Košice Peace Marathon in Slovakia, dominated the women’s race with a 2:20:42 finish.

In other events, the Carlsbad Marathon saw Jenna Gasparrini, a former standout at the College of the Holy Cross, win the women’s race in 2:58:10.

At the Louisiana Marathon, Caroline Mahoney of Bedford, New Hampshire, claimed victory in 2:53:51, improving significantly since her 3:04:33 finish at the 2022 Vermont City Marathon.

On the scenic course of the Maui Oceanfront Marathon, Iris Chuluunbat-Klein captured the women’s title in 3:16:14, marking her first major marathon win.

Air Quality and Running

Bad air quality and running are just not a good mix. For big cities, areas near big cities in underdeveloped countries, or for those affected by things like forest fires and the drifting smoke from these events, regularly checking the AQI (air quality index – which measures 6 common pollutants and rates them on a scale 0-500) through your local weather channel or app is a must. Kentucky Derby Festival Marathon – 4/16/2025

The GE Appliances Kentucky Derby Festival miniMarathon & Marathon is Kentucky’s largest annual road race, held every spring. In 2025, it celebrates its 52nd miniMarathon and 24th Marathon. Runners start at Louisville Slugger Field, pass through scenic neighborhoods, and even run through Churchill Downs. They’ll finish with a celebration alongside family and friends at the post-race party.

Bemidji Blue 0x Marathon

An exceptional marathon weekend that harnesses the beautiful sights and views around the lakes of Bemidji, Minnesota. All participants receive a shirt, a medal, and a free 10oz. beer from Bemidji Brewing in downtown Bemidji!
