⭐️ Training Tip
Training in Heat: A Challenge for Runners
Summer is approaching, and with it comes a new challenge for runners and endurance athletes. Training in warm temperatures can make even familiar workouts feel significantly more demanding. Heat places additional stress on the body by increasing fatigue, raising the risk of dehydration, and forcing the cardiovascular system to work harder to maintain the same level of performance.

New York showed up BIG this weekend. Over 30,000 runners hit the streets for the United Airlines NYC Half—and the elite races delivered 🔥

🇰🇪 Hellen Obiri stole the spotlight, winning the women’s race in 1:06:33 and breaking the course record. Sharon Lokedi, the previous record holder, finished second (1:07:10), followed closely by Megan Keith (1:07:13).
On the men’s side, 🇿🇦 Adriaan Wildschutt took the win in a blazing 59:30, holding off Zouhir Talbi (USA) by just 11 seconds in a tight finish.
👀 One of the most interesting storylines:
Olympic medalist Grant Fisher made his half marathon debut, finishing 14th in 1:00:53 – a strong first step up in distance.
