The course is flat and fast. Because of tropical conditions, we have shifted the event to January, our coolest month. When the gun goes off at 5:30 a.m. to send participants on their way, the temperature is around 60 degrees F. By 9:00 a.m. the temperature can reach 85 degrees F. While the course is point-to-point, there is a loop at around the 23-mile mark. The race finishes on Tragarete Road, in front of one of the most famous cricket grounds in the world, the Queen's Park Oval.
