ALL participants MUST carry some form of hydration: hydration pack, hand-held water bottle, waist belt, or a water bottle from the local gas station duct-taped to your hand. Please note that aid stations will have few to no cups for your use and that is why you will need a hydration source.

Race Fees&nbsp;
Marathon - $85 until&nbsp; 4/7, $95 4/8-5/8 at midnight - Packet pickup day (5/9) and race day is $105 (no shirt). The marathon will consist of four laps on the 6.5 mile course.
&frac12; Marathon - $65 until 4/7, $75 4/8-5/8 at midnight - Packet pickup (5/9) and race day is $85 (no shirt). The &frac12; marathon will consist of two laps on the 6.5 mile course.
Race Shirts (unisex, high tech tri-blend) - You may be able to purchase one race day after the race for $15.&nbsp;

&frac12; Marathon Finish - 13.3 miles at 16 min per mile pace equals 3.55 hours (11:33).
Marathon - 26.6 miles at 16 min per mile equals 3.55 hours (11:33) at &frac12; marathon and 7.1 hours to finish (3:06).
Packet Pick-up on race day will close promptly at 7:45 AM. We WILL NOT delay the start of the race if you haven&rsquo;t picked up your packet yet! If you&rsquo;re in town, please make every effort to visit Packet Pick-up on Friday. Please note we close packet pickup at 6:45 so Fleet Feet can close on time, so if you can&rsquo;t make it before 6:45, plan to pickup your packet race morning at the race location.
Packet Pick-Up
Packet pick-up location is at Fleet Feet (307 Manufacturers Rd). Packet pick-up is from 4:00-6:45 on Friday. Please note that we will shut down race day packet pick-up 15 minutes before the start. Also, keep in mind that it is a 25 minute drive to the start from downtown Chattanooga, so please get your packet, or have someone pick up your packet on Friday if you can.

Award Categories
1st - 3rd Male &amp; Female Overall
1st only in every 5 year age group, 0-14,15-19, 20-24, 25-29 etc.
If top finishers are unable to stay for the awards ceremony, awards may be mailed at the participant's expense. Race packets will not be mailed. Age group awards are custom canvas prints and will be mailed to you roughly two weeks after the race.
Cupless Event
In order to be better stewards of our natural spaces we are a cupless event so be sure to have a water bottle or hydration pack with you...it&rsquo;s also just a good idea to keep you hydrated between aid stations. The average road marathon generates approximately 4lbs of trash per each runner. It doesn&rsquo;t take long for that to add up to tons and tons of unnecessary landfill waste so bring your water bottle and if you&rsquo;re a spectator, bring a cup. Nature thanks you!
Aid Stations
We will have a fully stocked aid station &frac12; through the loop (3.25 miles) and at the Start/Finish (6.65 miles).
Aid stations will provide water, Tailwind electrolyte replacement drink, an assortment of fruit, salty and sweet snacks, fig bars, gorp, and soda. Basic first aid kits will be available as well if necessary.
We wheeled the route and it is a good opportunity to calibrate your watch or app. The wheel measured 35,110&rsquo; or 6.6496 miles.

Do Not Litter
We have witnessed an increase in trail litter over the past years. We will not tolerate littering. This is not a road race! We know that accidents happen, but if we catch you obviously throwing your trash on the trail, you will not only be disqualified from this race, but you will be banned from any future Wild Trails race. Sorry to be so sour, but the littering must stop. Please take the extra two seconds to make sure that your trash is safely tucked in a pocket.
Headphones
We strongly discourage the use of headphones during this race for the reason of safety.&nbsp; Not only is it more challenging to hear other runners, but more difficult to communicate with our race marshals and volunteers along the course. In short, we ask all runners to be as safe and courteous as possible.
Dogs
We are sorry to say that we do not allow dogs. We all love dogs and it would be so great to have them join us but there have been too many dog fights and runners being tripped up by dogs on or off leash.
Registration changes/transfers
No Refunds or transfers. Race numbers may not be transferred to another race or another person.&nbsp;
