It's a career challenge race.
I ran this marathon in 2006 and am looking forward to running it this year in 2007. I felt what I had never felt in my running life; that is why I want to repeat this race to confirm whether I was sick or the race is one of a kind.

Hot, but worth making an effort for
I did the event in 2000. It was very hot (36 C) and I suffered badly from the heat for weeks afterwards. The organisation was good but very laid-back, onlookers were friendly (but not huge numbers)and plenty of impromtu refreshment stations at residents' gates.
Scenic route (all one way) from a foreigner's viewpoint, long low bridge, fishing boats, palm trees etc.
I will do it again August 2006. The route is now out-and-back, instead of one way.
I recommend it as part of a good holiday, as it is not a major tourist destination but has plenty of facilities.
