SUMMARY. AIMS Certified race: The beautiful course will show you the best of Aruba, will take you along Palm Beach up to the famous California Lighthouse and Eagle Beach.
Be it the allure of palm-fringed shores or the challenge of running under a rising tropical sun, the KLM Aruba Marathon leaves an indelible mark on every runner who dares to conquer its course. Set on the vibrant island of Aruba, this marathon weaves together stunning coastal views, the iconic Divi Divi trees, and a supportive community that lifts the spirits of each participant. From the first steps in the cool pre-dawn hours to the final strides under the golden light of a new day, runners find themselves immersed in a journey of both beauty and endurance.
Whether tackling the full 26.2 miles or savoring the shorter distances, each runner's story unfolds on a course that is as challenging as it is breathtaking. The early morning start tempers the heat, but as the sun rises and the island awakens, the course demands both strength and resolve. Yet, amid the heat and the miles, there is camaraderie, laughter, and the overwhelming sense of accomplishment that comes from finishing a race in paradise.
The memories of this marathon are not just of the miles logged, but of the community that cheers you on, the personal records celebrated at the finish line, and the unforgettable post-race celebration on the beach. Every runner who crosses that finish line leaves with a story worth sharing-one of resilience, beauty, and the universal pride that comes with completing a race on one of the world's most beautiful islands.

Great for vacation & SA Continent Marathon
PEOPLE were LOVELY! Aruba is clean (enough) and welcoming. 3:15am start helps with the heat. HEADLAMP should be required for full marathon start. No mile markers on race. Lots of construction on course=barriers, rubble, raw road. My & other's devises read the course as 'longer' than 13.1/26.2. Unsure of road vs path for parts of course. Would recommend for easier travel, South American continent marathon if that's a goal.
