The 2020 Rock 'n' Roll San Diego Marathon races, initially set on May 30-31 and postponed to an undetermined later date, was cancelled for the year.  The event will return on June 5-6, 2021.

Today Advance announced it has completed its acquisition of The IRONMAN Group from Wanda Sports Group. The transaction was first announced on March 26, 2020. Orkila Capital partnered with Advance as a co-investor in the transaction. The IRONMAN Group is the world's largest mass participation sports platform. Its global portfolio of events includes, among others, the Rock 'n' Roll Marathon Series® and the Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon.
