About 6 km of this exceptional marathon will take place on The Great Wall of China, which can be considered an "obstacle course" of steep ascents and descents plus an unbelievable number of steps. The course also consists of 10 km asphalt road including continuous ascents and descents of up to 10 %, demanding the utmost of the runners !  The remaining 26 km are mostly on flat gravel roads through the picturesque countryside of the Huangyaguan area.
