Akron Marathon Race Director Jim Barnett has retired from the Akron Marathon effective October 31, 2012. Barnett will continue to be actively involved with the future planning, organization and strategy of the Akron Marathon through his appointment to the Board of Trustees. He will become an active member effective November 1, 2012.
