Baltimore, Md. – On-line registration for the 2007 Under Armour Baltimore Running Festival opened on the morning of Wednesday, Dec. 13 at 8 AM EST, exactly 10 months before the seventh version of the event starts. Interested runners can sign up at www.thebaltimoremarathon.com or at www.active.com.

According to a recent study by RESI, a research and consulting firm located at Towson University, the 2006 Under Armour Baltimore Running Festival generated $14.8 million dollars in revenue for the state of Maryland. This number is up nearly $1.3 million from a year ago due in part to record entry of nearly 12,000 participants. $2.217 million dollars was also collected in state and local taxes. In six years, the event has resulted in $70 million dollars being pumped in the state's economy.

Under Armour, Inc. and Corrigan Sports Enterprises (CSE) announced today that Under Armour has extended its title sponsorship of the Baltimore Running Festival and Baltimore Marathon through 2008. Under Armour, the innovative leader in performance apparel has been the title sponsor of the event since 2003. This year's race kicked off on October 14 at M&T Bank Stadium, and Under Armour awarded a total purse of $100,000 and provide performance apparel to all runners, pacers, volunteers, and staff along the course.
