Beautiful coast course
It is a small marathon (field of 3500 marathoners). The start is 30km away from the finish line (in the beautiful area of Cascais), but you can get there easily by train which is free for the runners.
The course by the coast is a little lonely, not much crowd support. There is some winds and you run with the sun in your face 70% of the time (strongly recommend the use of shades and a visor/cap).
Plenty on water stations (not much Gatorade)
