Larry Kinsey finished his relay portion of the fifth annual Med-City Relays and Marathon in grand fashion. Kinsey, 44, received a heart transplant from Mayo Clinic in December of 1996. As part of the therapy for a stroke he suffered on the aftermath of the transplant, Kinsey was urged to try running.

You can't measure his heart

About 430 children in grades one through eight participated in the 1.2-mile Conoco Kids Classic, but 9-year-old Patrick Legier had a unique racing story to tell. He has cerebral palsy.

Event makes race buddies

Bill Field, a Faribault Bethlehem Academy school teacher, is lucky to be walking these days, much less winning marathons.

Bill Field ran away from the field at the Med-City Marathon, winning in 2:33.07, the second-fastest time in the history of the race.
