GEICO Announced as Title Partner of Rock 'n' Roll Las Vegas

Competitor Group, Inc. (CGI) today announced an expanded partnership with GEICO, which now becomes the title sponsor of the GEICO Rock 'n' Roll Las Vegas Marathon & 1/2 Marathon. The only running event that takes place on the Las Vegas Strip at night will welcome more than 45,000 runners to Sin City the weekend of November 12-15, 2015.

Marathon events continue to gain traction in Vegas

With 25,227 finishers in last year's Rock 'n' Roll Las Vegas Half Marathon on the Strip, the event was the third-largest in the United States fewer than 400 finishers behind Brooklyn's 13.1-mile race and the seventh-largest on the planet.

Las Vegas marathon adds expo date, expands 5K race plan

Competitor Group spokesman Dan Cruz said events ahead of the Nov. 15 race will include an expanded three-day health and fitness expo beginning Nov. 12 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. A 5-kilometer race that last year drew 5,000 runners could have 8,000 this year, starting and finishing late Nov. 14 at the Rock in Rio festival location on Las Vegas Boulevard at Sahara Avenue, across from the SLS Las Vegas.
