Tom Prentice of Lake Elmo led the list of area finishers. Prentice, 48, managed the high temperatures and humidity to finish 112th overall with a time 3:04:28, which was 95th among all runners in his age group.

The only runners who seemed oblivious to the heat were 2004 runner up Ukrainian Mykola Antonenko, and Russian Svetlana Ponomarenko, who easily claimed the men’s and women’s titles respectively.

Greg Prom has a perfect attendance record with the Twin Cities Marathon, and has run a total of about 65 marathons during his entire racing career that started at 45.
