World Championship Marathon Champ Now Trains Sights on World Record

Abel Mutai says that he will run the marathon in 2 hours 3 minutes and 30 seconds which would eclipse the current world record by nearly 30 seconds. He is considering his attempt at Dubai or London.

Jenkins Places 63rd in Marathon at IAAF World Championship

Former University of Massachusetts at Lowell long distance runner, Nate Jenkins, placed sixty-third at the World Track and Field Marathon Championship race. Jenkins was hampered with a hamstring injury that seemed to slow him to a time of 2 hours 32 minutes and 16 seconds.

Kirui Claims World Championship Marathon Gold

Abel Kirui won the overall World Championship Marathon Gold medal by setting a championship record with a time of 2 hours 6 minute and 54 seconds. He stated that he will now focus on chasing the world record for the marathon by attempting to run 2 hours 3 minutes and 30 seconds
