Deep RiverRock Belfast City Marathon to support Athletics NI "Marathon Potential 2024"

The Deep RiverRock Belfast City Marathon event organisers have announced that they will support Athletics Northern Ireland with Marathon Potential 2024, a special project that will deliver Olympic standard marathon runners for Paris 2024 and beyond. The Project will aim to support athletes, and their coaches, that have not yet fully moved to the marathon distance but have the potential to do so and hope to bring the next generation of Northern Ireland's marathon runners through.

The event organisers of the Deep RiverRock Belfast City Marathon are delighted to OPEN entries for the 2020 event, celebrating its 39th year on Sunday 3rd May. The event was launched this morning (Wednesday 9th October) by John Allen, Chairman of the Deep RiverRock Belfast City Marathon at the Olympia Leisure Centre, Belfast.

The Belfast Marathon has just got even longer

Organizers announced that the 2019 Belfast City Marathon was 544 meters too long and the marathon times have been adjusted but while London Marathon agreed to accept the adjusted times, Run Britain "Power of 10" did not.
