A Cross Continents Marathon
The signature of this event is to run cross continents. It was fun to do so.
The route is beautiful. The race took over the cross-continent bridge and some good sections of Istanbul major streets. The marathon finished in the center of the city. The marathon was well-organized. Spectators were cheering close to the end of the race.
The ferry took an hour to get to the starting area. I took 7:40am ferry. I was barely making the start. There was an 8:00am ferry. It would be nice to have a clear info about which ferry should the runners take.
This was the first time I visited Turkey. I was able to use this opportunity to tour around. Turkey is a good vacation destination. It has rich culture, beautiful nature scenery, fascinating history, and friendly people.
